The Law Society is the regulatory and
representative body for 116,000 solicitors in England
and Wales.
Land Registry
Land Registry is Government
Department that keeps and maintains the Land Register
for England and Wales. On behalf of the Crown, Land
Registry guarantees title to registered estates and
interests in Land. It was established in 1862 and is
required by statute to be self-financing and makes no
call on public funds.

Council for Mortgage Lenders
The CML is the trade association for
mortgage lenders in the UK, and its members undertake
around 98% of UK residential mortgage lending. The CML
exists to provide a service to mortgage lending
